Doctor's Appointment

Allison and Jake had their checkups yesterday. Allison is healthy and doing great. She has hurt her hip somehow and got an xray and some blood work to make sure she is okay. The Xray is fine and we are waiting on her blood work, hopefully everything will be fine. She is growing great and is in the 50% percentile in height and weight. She was a big girl getting her blood drawn today, so we are rewarding her with a family night poolside tonight with fajitas on the grill! Jake is a huge boy! He weighs 18 pounds and 15 ounces!!! He is 26 1/2 inches tall. That puts him above the 97th percentile in weight and in the 95th percentile in height!!! He is just big all around. We got out Allison's old walker and he loves it because he can stand around the house now instead of sitting. That's a very good thing considering he doesnt want to just sit around anymore!

Colorado Trip 2009

Well, we just got back from visiting Uncle Scott in Colorado with the whole family! Everyone had a great time! Allison surprised us all by being so adventurous and trying new things. We started out by staying in Glenwood Springs and we stayed at a hotel with a water slide. Allison loved it! After that we stayed in Snowmass for the rest of the trip in a condo off the ski slopes. The first day in Snowmass we went to Glenwood Springs Adventure park! There Allison rode an alpine coaster down the mountain, went through a human maze with Papa, did a bungee jumper ride, went through the caverns, and mined for gold. Frank impressed everyone by riding the bucking bull, very impressive! We also have funny pictures of the family dressed up in old time clothing. The next day we drove to Aspen and Independence Pass. We stopped and hiked by the river and in the ice caves. We stopped for lunch at a park in Aspen and did a little shopping. We went all the way up 12,000 feet to independence pass and threw snowballs! The next day we took Ally up the chair lift in Snowmass and hiked down the mountains and then later that day we did some white water rafting with Allison and Uncle Scott. Summer

Sorry it has been awhile...Jake and Allison are doing great! Allison is out of school for the summer and enjoying a summer of vacations and swimming by the pool. She has been swimming and playing "Ariel" everyday in the pool! She lives to pick up coins on the bottom of the pool. Aliison also had an awesome pool party for her birthday this year! They had a great time going down the slide into the pool! She getting so big. She is a wonderful big sister and is enjoying her role a little more now. She loves her brother and takes very good care for him and is quite protective! She loves to sing to him in the car when he is crying, and it seems to work every single time! Jake is in love with his big sister and stares at her all of the time. He is getting bigger and acts much older! He is of course huge! He is wearing 9mth clothes right now! Jake is holding toys in his hand and putting them in his mouth. He sucks on his hands constantly while drooling. He loves to talk and smile and has started to giggle too! Growing boy.
