Dr Appointment 2 week

Well baby Jacob had his Dr. appointment now that he is 2 weeks of age. He was supposed to be at his birth weight today and he passed with flying colors! He is now 7lbs. 8 ounces so he has gained a good amount of weight. Everything is checking out fine and he doesn't have to go into the doctor again until 2 months to get his first shots.
Allison has her ballet recital May 2nd so we will be posting pictures of her in her beautiful costume. They get to have pretty up-dos for their hair with flowers and she even gets to wear makeup on stage! She is pretty excited about that part!

baby update

Well, i am sorry it's taken me so long, its been a busy week. Right now i am trying to type one handed while Jake eats! Multi-tasking! We have been doing great and are trying to adjust. Jacob is a very good boy and doesnt fuss too much and now that he is having his awake periods during the day it makes sleeping a little easier! All 3.5 hours of it! Allison has been a big help changing diaper and throwing the dirty ones away. She is scared of being too close during diaper changes cause she has seen Jacob being the boy he is pee on himself and shes afraid shes going to be in the direct path. She has been learning a whole lot and adjusting to not being an only child anymore, but is doing great! She even started having a Jacob baby doll that she breastfeeds! Its funny! Daddy is changing diaper and getting used to taking care of a newborn and is feeling a little more comfortable now! Well, here are some pictures!

Jacob is doing great! He loves to eat and that is all he wants to do keeping Mommy up a lot!!! He has passed his hearing screen and had hospital photos that we will share with you when they come in! He had his first poop and is peeing like crazy so everything is in working order! We are being discharged from the hospital tomorrow morning so we will be back home and comfortable. Sister Allison is still in love with her brother or as she calls him...."HER BABY" She smiles ear to ear cause she loves him so much and is concerned when he cries. Baby Jacob is here!!! He came last night Monday, March 9, 2009 at 3:15am. Born at 7 pounds 2.4 ounces and 19.7 inches long. He is healthy and beautiful..... Here are some pictures...

Well, we had a Dr. Appointment this past Monday and it seems that I am not progressing to have this kiddo so I will be going into the hospital Sunday evening around 5pm to get medicine to help my cervix thin. The medication can start contractions if all goes well I will start pitocin and the induction Monday morning. Allison is very excited and we are ready to see baby Jacob! I will keep people posted and we will put pictures on the blog as soon as we possibly can after Jacob gets here!
